Photos from the Liverpool carnival 2010 These photos are from the third annual Liverpool Carnival Parade through the city centre. The Carnival is a vibrant Rio styled event which started during the capital of culture year and then became a staple annual event in the city thereafter. The event is hosted and run by the Liverpool Samba School and attracts participants from across the country and further afield. During this event the Paraiso Samba school from London were heavily involved as were Samba TUC from Paris, Republic of Swing, Manchester School of Samba and many others. The parade started around the Catholic Cathedral and runs through some of the most popular streets in Liverpool before finishing under the Chinese arch. The afterpart was held at the Picket on New Bird Street.
